Customer Care DIY Specialist & Team Manager

“I joined the Ascensos team in late 2017, as a Customer Service Advisor. And I jumped at the chance soon after to provide floor support to newer colleagues. Since then, I’ve been promoted to a Team Manager on our DIY campaign.

The support I’ve received in my new role has been fantastic, not only from senior level but also from the Advisors on my team. My style of management is to lead by example, which involves being approachable and consistent. I truly believe that you get out of this job what you put in. I recently won ‘Ascensos Ambassador of the Year’ at our company awards party, which was an absolute honour. It makes all the hard work worthwhile.

I live locally, so it’s a dream to work so close to home. And with family on the mainland, my Ascensos team have quickly become more like an extended family, than just work colleagues.”

“I joined Ascensos in October 2017, when Ascensos first opened on the Isle of Wight. And it’s been great to see how big the team has grown in such a short space of time.

My current role involves working on the Fraud Back Office team for our gaming client. I’m also a Brand Ambassador for my team, so I’ve had the opportunity to get involved with training new colleagues, which I really enjoy.

I like the technical aspects of my role, delivering customer service across different channels; like email, social media and live chat, as well as speaking to customers on the phone. And being a gaming specialist is excellent. I was a casual gamer before, but I’ve fully immersed myself in the gaming community now. Product launches are extremely busy, so it helps if you can speak the same language as your customers!

I was surprised and excited to win ‘Client Champion of the Year’ for my team, at this years’ company awards party. There was such a high standard of competition, so I’m very proud.”
