When you give 400 people a spring in their step before starting their working day, you know you’re doing a great job. And that’s exactly what Siobhan did as our receptionist back in 2017. Within two years, her warm welcomes, natural affinity for people and excellent organisational skills shifted her path to Facilities Assistant, and shortly after, Siobhan became our UK Facilities Manager.
Today, Siobhan continues to go above and beyond. She was fundamental to our UK Facilities Team award of 'Support Team of the Year' in 2019, and her sunny disposition now shines bright in the direction of our suppliers, partners, and Support Teams.
Sara had just completed an HND in social sciences with some customer service experience working at Semichem under her belt. She had her sights set on joining the police before joining us as a Customer Service Advisor in 2015.
Over six years, Sara has been promoted eight times. Shes's is a highly dedicated individual who has climbed the ladder in a straight line, one step at a time and learnt the ropes at every rung – including Operations Support, Team Manager and Operations Coordinator. Today, at only 23 years old, Sara is Operations Manager.
Martin joined Ascensos in 2014 as a Customer Service Advisor on our fashion and DIY campaigns. He’s since worked across various teams, resolving customer queries as part of our clients’ Fraud Department, Complaints Team, Customer Care Email Team, and has also spent time as an Inbound Sales Advisor.
Martin’s goal was initially to become a Team Manager, and once he achieved that milestone, he then set his sights on becoming an Operational Trainer.
He’s creative at heart and has a natural affinity with people. Having worked in an Advisor role, Martin is fantastic at using his experience to shape training and engage new and existing colleagues with his unique and creative style.
From a student placement to Senior HR Business Partner, Stephanie's journey with Ascensos is exceptional. From 120 colleagues in 2015, Stephanie, an HR Graduate, has supported our teams growth to 3,000+ A-players.
As our business grew, her role as Recruitment Coordinator quickly led to a role in our HR & Colleague Relations Team. Our rapid expansion over the last seven years has presented Stephanie with the opportunity to gain an incredible amount of on-the-job experience, as she's learned to navigate the steep learning curve and complexities of a rewarding career in Human Resources.
Having joined Ascensos as a young man at 22, Daniel has since proven to be determined, conscientious and ambitious when creating his career path at Ascensos.
After initially joining us as an Advisor, Daniel flourished in the role of Team Manager for three years. He found supporting his team and enabling their progression inspiring and, as a result, used this passion for establishing himself within the role of Management Trainer. At Ascensos, 95% of our Team Manager promotions come from our Advisor talent pool. And having experienced both roles, Daniel has a strong view on how best to support, mentor and develop our new Team Managers to be the best they can be.
During our colleagues' move to remote working in 2020, we introduced the role of Happyologist to support our happiness agenda at Ascensos. The position was crucial to maintaining our culture, team spirit and the human element of our culture-building activities.
Having worked in a range of colleague-facing roles such as; Team Manager, Operations Trainer and Colleague Relations, Yvonne was the perfect Ascensos Ambassador for the position with her warm, energetic welcomes and fun outlook.
Today, our Chief Happyologist, Yvonne, spearheads our aptly named 'Hart' & Soul' activities via her A.TV channel; it's an action-packed, culture-driven calendar of fun, games and events.
