Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

Opening Statement

Ascensos is committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within its business and imposes the same high standards on its suppliers.

As an equal-opportunities employer, we are committed to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for all colleagues. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business.

As part of the Firstsource Group, Ascensos remains committed to ensuring transparency within its business and supply chains. We uphold a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and expect the same high standards from all contractors, suppliers, and business partners.

This statement sets out our actions to understand potential modern slavery risks related to our business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in or connected to our business.

This statement covers Ascensos Ltd and its UK operations as part of the Firstsource Group of companies (“the Group”).

Structure of the Organisation

As of September 2024, Ascensos became a subsidiary of Firstsource Solutions UK Limited which is a Wholly owned subsidiary of Firstsource Solutions Ltd (“Firstsource”), a global provider of business process management services. Ascensos continues to operate as a leading customer care outsourcing specialist within the wider Firstsource Group, offering multichannel customer contact solutions across both traditional and digital channels.

We have scalable operations in the UK, Romania, Turkey, South Africa and the Caribbean, with over 3,000 colleagues across 9 locations.

This statement has been prepared in alignment with the wider Firstsource Group Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy, ensuring consistent standards and transparency across the Group.

Policies

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business. As part of our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and our commitment to combating modern slavery, we have the following policies:

  • Equal Opportunities Policy
  • Immigration Policy
  • Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy
  • Anti-Corruption and Bribery Policy
  • Whistleblowing Policy
  • Recruitment and Selection Policy

Due diligence

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our business, we have adopted the following due diligence procedures and checks:

  • Recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion once in our employment.
  • Eligibility to work in the country and vetting of candidates joining the business.

In addition, our procurement processes incorporate supplier due diligence, including ethical compliance checks and adherence to the Firstsource Supplier Code of Conduct. These measures ensure our partners align with our values of ethical conduct and human rights protection.

Training

Training on modern slavery, and on the risk our business faces from modern slavery will be given where needed.

Monitoring and Enforcement

This statement will be reviewed annually by Ascensos’ Senior Leadership Team, who is responsible for monitoring and enforcing the policies within.

Oversight is coordinated in partnership with the Firstsource Group Compliance and Legal Teams, ensuring consistent governance and reporting across the Group.

Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery must be communicated to all suppliers, contractors and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them and reinforced appropriately thereafter.

Further actions and sign-off

We encourage colleagues to raise concerns about any issue of suspicion of modern slavery in any parts of our business at the earliest possible stage.

We may terminate our relationship with employees or other individuals and organisations working on our behalf if they are found to be involved with modern slavery.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement.

This statement covers the financial year ending 31 March 2025 and was approved on 4 November 2025. It will be reviewed and updated annually within six months of the financial year end.
